Type 17-4 PH Stainless Steel offers a unique combination of properties that make it ideal for many demanding applications.  This precipitation hardening stainless steel provides an outstanding combination of formability, corrosion resistance, weldability and strength for manufacturing components used in aerospace and military applications.  A martensitic, precipitation-hardening stainless steel, it contains about 17% chromium and 4% nickel. A wide range of mechanical properties can be achieved with a variety of available heat treatments.
